A Great Event !!!

The Big Bend Ranch State Park is a fantastic place to run, and the Big Bend 50 owes it all to the volunteers, park rangers, ems teams, ham radio operators, hotels, campgrounds, timing team, sponsors, and our great runners for making it happen, keeping everyone safe, and having fun.

A Big Thanks to our latest sponsor, YETI, will be providing ways for us to keep your hot food hot, and cold food cold. Distance runners will have hot potatoes at some aid stations, and YETI will help keep ’em that way.

The 2017 event is again managed by race director Carroll Voss of Overland Race Management, and a motley crew of dedicated volunteers you’ve met at the Big Bend 50 events for the last 12 years.

New 50K Course
We love our 50 mile distance run, 2017 is changing to a 50K. The Buena Suerte 50 (BS50) mile course is still viable and will not go anywhere. Days of heavy labor to setup the 50M course, way up on the far West side, lost some equity. We’ll save it for the future. The new course will also start and finish at Barton Warnock Visitors Center.
