Introduction
The courses will be run on Glenn Springs Road and Black Gap Road, finishing on River Road. Spectacular!

The distances are 50K (31mi) and 25K (15.5mi). There are no relays, and there is a common start and a common finish line.

The courses are run thru Glenn Springs, and down Black Gap Rd., with beautiful desert scenery, and a net downhill drop of 1400'. The course is convenient for participants to be shuttled to RGV after their run and post race dinner, award ceremony, and the "social hour" in RGV and hopefully Hot Springs to relieve tired bodies.

Climate in January can be lows in the upper 30’s and highs in the upper 50’s, and usually dry! It can be colder or warmer, so be prepared.

    Driving Instructions

    Van from San Antonio
Only $40 round trip for a ride from San Antonio. We attempt to cover our fuel costs.

We save space for camping gear and baggage.
Bring your lunch or favorite pre-race snack and water bottle. We will stop to eat somewhere.

The van ride is always fun, and lasting friendships have developed from them. If you don't plan to camp, you will need to arrange for a friend to provide transportation from your hotel to RGV for race start, and back to your hotel from RGV after the run. The distances make it tough to provide van support out to the hotels.
